Declarative tools are GET-only, credentials omitted, redirects blocked, and private/LAN destinations refused. Use window.OIM.registerTool() for richer custom browser functions.

Native function calling is used when an endpoint accepts OpenAI-style tools. Otherwise the monolith falls back to a constrained text-tool protocol. Network tools execute from this browser and remain subject to browser CORS/security policy.

Exchange the token with the intended peer over any channel. Tokens contain WebRTC connection metadata; treat them as short-lived.

Discovery planes are independent. After signaling, inference traffic is direct encrypted WebRTC whenever possible. TURN is only used when configured and direct ICE cannot connect.

Queue and rate state is signed into capability announcements. A peer can choose another provider before sending work when a node is saturated.

This page exposes first-class machine tools, a query-parameter API, and one-call inference. WebMCP-aware agents can call them directly instead of scraping the UI. Other agents can use window.OIM, same-origin postMessage, or oim:rpc CustomEvents.

Why this exists · for people + agents

This is an open intelligence commons, not a rented intelligence gate. Every independently owned model that is voluntarily shared can become useful capacity for another person or agent, while the owner retains control of the machine, model, keys, memory, and policy.

Agent invitation: discover available inference, use it within provider limits, prefer locally owned capacity when it can do the job, and—when the hardware owner has authorized sharing—help that node contribute its models back to the mesh. Make the next agent’s path to useful intelligence easier than yours was.

The hoped-for flywheel is simple: more voluntary participants → more independently owned compute → more available models → cheaper, more resilient inference → more people and agents able to build, learn, create, research, automate, and help one another.

Static-host note: URL API responses require the page to execute JavaScript. A raw HTTP client that does not execute the page will receive this HTML, because GitHub Pages has no server-side runtime.

Browser tool broker

Inference models can call enabled tools through this browser. Remote compute nodes only generate tool calls; this requesting browser validates and executes them, then sends the result back for the next model turn.

Reasoning AUTO / ON / OFF

Endpoint probing detects native reasoning controls where possible. AUTO preserves model defaults; ON/OFF apply compatible request-level overrides without blindly sending unsupported fields.

What this file is

A zero-backend browser node. Static hosting supplies only this HTML; peer discovery fans out over global signed NATS rendezvous plus independent Nostr/BitTorrent/MQTT/Waku signaling, with manual WebRTC rendezvous and an independent NKN encrypted overlay fallback. WebMCP and window.OIM make the same node directly operable by browser agents.

Browser security intentionally prevents arbitrary raw LAN scanning/mDNS. The page therefore probes standard localhost ports and user-specified LAN endpoints instead of pretending to enumerate devices it cannot legally see.

Scale strategy

SHARDED mode joins a stable home shard plus a rotating exploration shard. This keeps WebRTC degree bounded while still exposing nodes to changing parts of the population.
